BARTOW, Fla. — Polk County leaders want to hear you tell your stories of housing problems, including any times you faced discrimination.

The Board of County Commissioners is in the process of drafting an Assessment of Fair Housing to determine the issues, priorities and goals related to fair housing requirements in Polk County.

The county is inviting residents to share their stories during a virtual community workshop on Tuesday, December 1.

The workshop's goal is to help educate you about the assessment and provide you an opportunity to participate in the fair housing planning process.

The workshop is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m.

You can join the workshop using your computer, tablet, smartphone, or phone by either clicking on the Virtual Workshop link or calling (312) 757-3121 using passcode 187-272-341.
