Polk County detectives investigating suspicious death in Mulberry

MULBERRY, Fla. — Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives are investigating a suspicious death in Mulberry.

According to PCSO, around 6:15 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to 607 NW 1st Avenue in Mulberry to conduct a well-being check on 58-year-old Tammy Butler, at the request of friends who had not spoken with her in several days.

When deputies entered the home, they found Butler deceased inside.

Deputies say that the Butler lived alone.

Detectives are following up on leads at this time, but are seeking the public's help in this investigation. If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area from Saturday, March 17th to Thursday, March 22nd, they are urged to contact PCSO at 863-298-6200.
