LAKE WALES, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left one with serious injuries.
Officials said around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, the 49-year-old victim was walking home southbound along the fog line near the 3800 block of Scenic Hwy when he was struck by a vehicle.

According to the evidence that was left at the scene, the man was struck by a 1994-97 blue or green Honda Accord.
A nearby resident heard the crash and responded, then contacted local law enforcement.
The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. He had just left the "G" Spot bar and refused a ride home that was offered to him.
