Lake Wales police are searching for the man who drove his car directly at a detective on Nov. 18, almost running him over.
Julian Bird was driving a gray Chrysler 200 when Detective Maultsby of the Lake Wales Police Department attempted a traffic stop in the area of Dr. JA Wiltshire Ave. at 1st St..
Bird drove away at a high speed through the neighborhood, and at one point drove directly at Detective Hernandez narrowly missing him.
Bird evaded arrest, and his car was later recovered on the 600 block of N. 4th St.
Detectives put out a warrant charging him with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, fleeing to elude and driving while license suspended or revoked.
