HAINES CITY, Fla. — Crews responded to an ammonia leak at Haines City High School early Thursday morning.
According to the Haines City Police Department, Sun Orchard Juicery in Haines City experienced a gas leak in tanks used during processing.
The leak caused students and staff of Haines City High School to be moved to the Lake Eva Event Center.
The Haines City Police Department said hazmat teams contained the leak and that the situation is under control.
Classes have been canceled for the rest of the day.
Parents are being told to pick up their kids from the Lake Eva Event Center.
