DAVENPORT, Fla. -- A man is fighting for his life at the hospital after being shot in Polk County Wednesday afternoon.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from a Days Inn at 47000 U.S. 27 in Davenport.
The man was taken to the hospital with "critical injuries," according to deputies.
A search for a suspect is underway.
