4 transported to local hospital after shooting in Lakeland

LAKELAND, Fla. — Four people were taken to a local hospital after a shooting in Lakeland Thursday evening.

Police said shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Amos Ave.

When officers arrived, they said there were four victims with gunshot wounds. Three victims were adults and one was a teenager, police said.

All victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment but there is no update on their conditions.

Police said another man was reported to have arrived at Lakeland Regional Health with a gunshot wound, however, it is not known if he is another victim or a suspect.

This is an active investigation.
