LAKELAND, Fla. — The Lakeland Police Department has reopened all lanes of State Road 33 after they were closed for several hours near the I-4 overpass after two semis crashed early Friday morning.

According to police, the crash caused one of the trucks to hit the support column of I-4 and the wreckage is wedged under the overpass. Officers say an engineer will come out to look at the overpass.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, police say.

It's unclear at this time what caused the crash.

After several hours of being closed, State Road 33 was reopened shortly after 2:30 p.m.
