PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) arrested Tommy Gene Stephens, 52, for the murder of 34-year-old Jona Waller on Friday.
SPPD responded to a call regarding a body found in an alley south of the 200 block of 37th Street North on March 17, 2023.

According to authorities, Waller was stabbed in the upper body and was found dead at the scene.
Stephens was charged with second-degree murder.
