ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The coolest new classroom in the Tampa Bay area is on the St. Pete Pier.

Tampa Bay Watch, the environmental-watchdog nonprofit, is hosting 16 weeks of safe after-school programs at its Discovery Center.

The Sea Science After-School ExPIERience starts at just $12 a day, $20 for a week. Ages range from 6 to 12.

Hands-on classes blend fun with environmental responsibility. Topics range from mammals to invasive species to marine debris and more.
