"He was very generous he was outgoing he was a smiley guy," said his father, also named Jason Carr.

Police say Carr was found by responding officers. He was taken to Bayfront Hospital in critical condition where police say he died from his injuries.

The SUV seen in the video dropped off the suspect before the shooting and was seen leaving the area after it, according to the police department.

Investigators believe Carr had just arrived to work when it occurred.

"We don’t have a motive, everything’s on the table right now. We just really don’t know why he was targeted but clearly he was the target," said St. Petersburg Police PIO Yolanda Fernandez.
