ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — While many kids spend Christmas day getting gifts, the Baxley boys, ages 12, 7 and 5, and a few friends, spent the day giving.

After seeing their father make a plate of food for the homeless four years ago, the boys wanted to do more to help.

"We just wanted to teach them that there were other people less fortunate than them. So we made one bag that year for Christmas and they delivered it and every year it kind of progressed further," said Jessica Baxley, their mother.

With donations from the community that one bag has turned into 100 bags this year. Filled with things like blankets, masks, toiletries, a t-shirt, sandals and more.

"It's a blessing," said Darryl, a homeless man who received one of the bags.
