CLEARWATER, Fla. — Spring is just around the corner, so it's time to break out all your beach day essentials!

If you're planning a trip to Clearwater Beach over spring break, you can park and get a ride to the beach for free. That's thanks to the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority and the City of Clearwater.

The free rides are available from March 1 to April 30.

Visitors can park their cars for free at two downtown Clearwater locations:

Harborview
300 Cleveland St., Clearwater, FL 33757

City Hall Lots
112 S. Osceola Ave., Clearwater FL 33756

Then, the PSTA Shuttlewill pick them up and drop them off at these locations at the beach. It's about a ten minute ride from the parking lots to the beach.

"This is a way that we can actually save people money and make traffic flow substantially better," said Commissioner Joe Barkley, PSTA chairman.

PSTA Shuttle and Jolley Trolley will run every 30 minutes on Monday - Thursday from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. The PSTA Shuttle and Jolley Trolley will run every 15 minutes on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. to Midnight.

Return service to the lots boards at the Clearwater Beach Marina at 25 Causeway Blvd.
