ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Police in St. Pete said a man arrested Tuesday is facing a first-degree murder charge over a fatal stabbing.
Police responded to a home in the 3400 block of 38th Street North after receiving a call about a "suspicious circumstance." Upon arrival, officers found a man dead inside a garage.
Police said 38-year-old Jeffery Tillman was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. St. Pete PD said Tillman had been working on renovations at the house.
Police said the victim, identified as Deno Conley, 65, was a longtime acquaintance of Tillman. Police said when Conley went to the home to see Tillman, Tillman stabbed him.
