Local instructor specializes in anti-abduction techniques in Clearwater

Posted

A local safety expert specializes in self defense systems that can protect your kids and family.

Chris Sutton with C.O.B.R.A. Self Defense Systemsteaches hands on techniques that could help you escape a possible abduction attempt.

Sutton says an abductor has to get you from point A where they find you to point B where they want you to go. In most cases, this is by car.

The video seminars Sutton shares with us show three techniques if an abductor tries to get you into the car: the open window anchor, a window wedge anchor and steering wheel anchor.

The video demonstrations can be watched here:

You can watch and share these video techniques by going to ABC Action News reporter Nicole Grigg's Facebook page.Sutton says an abductor always has to get you from point A to point B, and that's usually by car.

In Sutton's classes he debunks most methods taught by most instructors: pepper spray, open carry permits and using objects like your keys as a weapon.

Along with these videos Sutton reminds people to be as loud as possible by using your voice: talk, scream, yell and shout to draw attention to you and your possible attacker.
