A man was bitten in the face by an alligator Monday morning while looking for Frisbee discs, Largo PD says.
It happened at about 5 a.m. when he was waist-deep in the water at Taylor Park.
Police say he was looking for Frisbee discs when an alligator bit him in the face.
He reportedly used his left hand to pry himself free, and as a result, had several lacerations to his face and hand.
He received medical care and is expected to recover. FWC was coming out to deal with the gator, but authorities did not say what ultimately happened to it.
