Honor Flight is a nonprofit that sends vets from all military branches on a free trip to the nation’s capital to pay their respects at memorials and monuments.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the Vietnam Wall again,” says Mike, getting ready to board the Honor Flight at St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport. “It’s been awhile.”

Honor Flight is a quick same-day excursion.

The public gathered later in the evening for a “Welcome Home” party at the airport.
