PALM HARBOR, Fla. — An elderly woman from Tarpon Springs is in critical condition after she was run over in a Publix parking lot, Florida Highway Patrol says.
Troopers say 72-year-old Liliana Coy was attempting to get into the front passenger seat of a vehicle when she was knocked down.
Enrique Coy, 86, was backing out of a handicap parking lot and ran over Liliana, troopers say.
It happened around 4 p.m. at the Publix on US-19 Alternative in Palm Harbor.
It's unclear how Liliana was knocked down. She was taken to Bayfront Medical Center where she is in critical condition.
Trooper says no charges are expected at this time.
