DUNEDIN, Fla. — A 46-year-old Dunedin man is facing charges for inappropriately touching a 14-year-old girl, according to the sheriff's office.
In one instance, William Rosenthal placed his hand under the victim's clothing and touched her pubic area, deputies say. Another time, the victim told deputies Rosenthal touched her genitals outside of her clothing.
Detectives say the investigation began on Wednesday after a parent of the victim notified authorities. The crimes occurred in March, the sheriff's office says.
The victim was known to Rosenthal, detectives say. How he knew her is unclear.
Detectives say they victim's allegation were corroborated through various investigative techniques.
Rosenthal was arrested and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor. He was taken to the Pinellas County jail without incident.
