CLEARWATER, Fla. — Clearwater Police announced the arrest in a beating and rape from September on Tuesday, and they say there may be more victims.
Detectives say 34-year-old William Walden dragged the victim from a vehicle, then beat and raped her.
Police say it happened after the suspect met the victim in the 1300 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard then drove her to parking lot in the 700 block of North Saturn Avenue on September 10.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and DNA results recently identified Walden as the suspect, according to police.

Walden is facing sexual battery charges in relation to the attack. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Monday night.
Authorities believe Walden may be involved in other cases. Detectives are asking anyone with information on potential other cases to call 727-562-4242.
