City of Clearwater to resume utility late fees, terminations in July

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The City of Clearwater announced on Monday it would be resuming utility terminations and late fees on July 1.

The city said in a press release that customers who have been unable to make payments for the last three months because of the pandemic should call the Utility Billing Office to see what options are available.

The release also says individuals and businesses in need of help can apply for the city's We Care Fund or the Pinellas CARES relief program.

The Utility Customer Service office is located at 100 S. Myrtle Ave. and is open to walk-in visitors, drive-through services and drop boxes. It's open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
