TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. — Two festivals beginning Wednesday are expected to draw tens of thousands of people to Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach through the weekend.
Treasure Island is hosting the 11th annual Sanding Ovations Master's Cup. Ten master sculptors from all over the world will face off against one another.
There will be vendors and concerts throughout the festival along with a fireworks show Saturday night.
Organizers suggest parking at Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis. A shuttle will pick people up from the parking lot. It costs two dollars per person. Children ten and under are free. You can find more information by clicking here.
The St. Pete Beach Bike Fest also begins Wednesday. The event is headquartered at TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach.
Organizers expect 75,000 people to attend concerts and events through Sunday. The military salute and Bret Michaels concert are expected to draw especially big crowds.
Motorcycle parking is 10 dollars per bike per day. Organizers are urging those who don’t have a motorcycle to rideshare because there won’t be parking for cars on the property.
