CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Clearwater man is dead and his passenger is seriously injured after a rollover crash on the Bayside Bridge Saturday night.
According to an FHP press release, Joseph Poblete, 45, was driving an SUV southbound on the bridge with Laurie Poblete, 34, in the passenger seat.
The release says Joseph slowed down for an unknown reason and the SUV was hit by 37-year-old Melissa Calderon, who was driving behind them.

The SUV rotated and overturned multiple times, according to FHP. Joseph and Laurie were taken to area hospitals, where troopers say Joseph died from his injuries.
Laurie remains in serious condition. Calderon was not injured, according to troopers.
The release says charges are pending.
