ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Petersburg man was arrested Saturday night after he traveled to meet with a minor for sex, according to arrest documents.
Frank Caldas, 57, agreed to pay $100 for half-an-hour with a 14-year-old girl, the documents show. Caldas reached out to someone he thought could arrange sexually explicit time with a female, according to the documents. But it was actually an undercover agent with the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Caldas discussed the age of the minor and sexual services before driving to the decoy location, the documents allege. After his arrest, condoms were found on his person. He admitted he brought them for the purpose of sexual intercourse, according to the documents.
Caldas was charged with unlawful use of a two-way communications device, traveling to meet a minor, human trafficking, prostitution and use of a computer service to seduce/solicit/entice a child, according to arrest records.
