ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Two people were shot Monday in the parking garage of a St. Petersburg hotel, and police are still searching for the suspect.

St. Petersburg Police said they received a call around 12:30 p.m. about shots being fired in the 1600 block of Central Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old valet and a 29-year-old woman were both shot but suffered non-life-threatening wounds. Both were taken to local hospitals.

St. Petersburg Police detectives said the incident appears to be a targeted attack and not a random occurrence.
