TRINTY, Fla. — The Starkey Family has farmed in the Tampa Bay area for more than 100 years.

The historic family's claim to fruit fame is blueberries. Pick-your-own events at their Trinity farm are extremely popular.

This year, for the very first time, Starkey Blueberry Farm is growing strawberries.

You can pick as many as you want. U-Picks are $4 per pound.

"These are a nice variety called Brilliance, and they're very tasty," says Trey Starkey, the farm's head honcho.

For the first three weeks of the season, Starkey strawberries have been just as popular as blueberries. Picking usually starts at 11 a.m., with that day's available crops wiped out by noon.

If you plan on heading to Starkey Farm to pick strawberries, make sure to check their Facebook page for times and availability.
