The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado and a waterspout after several warnings swept the Bay Area Thursday morning.
The tornado rolled across eastern Pinellas County near the Courtney Campbell Causeway (see tweet below).

Tornado Warnings affected parts of Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough throughout the morning. The NWS said there was likely a tornadic waterspout off Clearwater Beach around 6:30 a.m.

DAMAGE REPORTS:
- 19 homes and businesses with minor damage
- 5 more homes and businesses with structural damage
- 1 tree on car
- Garage door damaged
- Car ports torn apart
- 1 damaged billboard
- 2 trampolines thrown, 1 landed on roof
There were downed power lines in multiple locations in the area, and Duke Energy had more than 4,000 customers without power. Services have been restored to some. Check their live outage map.
