A Pasco County mother wants to protect her daughter’s identity. But she also wants people to know what happened.

Deputies arrested her ex-boyfriend Loren Guay and charged him with video voyeurism.

Investigators said they found several photographs of a 16-year-old girl on Guay’s camera, taken as she was getting undressed in her bedroom.

“She’s hurt, she’s upset, she’s frustrated. She’s angry. She doesn’t know what to do,” said the mother, who’s identity we aren’t releasing.

The teen’s mother said she was in a relationship with Guay for more than a decade.

She thinks Guay secretly cut the blinds in her daughter’s room so he could snap pictures from outside without being noticed.

She said she found those pictures on his camera and called the Sheriff’s Office.

“Sick to my stomach, shocked. I never thought he would go to those lengths to do something. To actually stalk,” she said.

Guay appeared calm when deputies came to arrest him Friday. And they said he admitted to taking the pictures.

The victim’s mother wants to make sure no one else is victimized by a man whom she trusted for years.

“He should have been like a father figure to her. And do that…,” she said.

I spoke to Guay briefly by phone.

He told me he was set up and was calling his lawyer.

He is a tree trimmer with Pinellas County’s Public Works Department and is even listed as a member of the Employees’ Advisory Council.

We are waiting for word on his employment status following the arrest.
