NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Cyntoria goes to Pasco-Hernando State College. Ten-year-old Cassandra is in 5th grade at Schrader Elementary School.
Their lives are not so different even though the two may be separated by a few years.

Cyntoria went to a Title 1 school like Schrader Elementary, where many of the kids come from low-income homes.
“A lot of parents might not have the money to buy books to help kids read,” said Cassandra.
So Cyntoria wanted to help.
“This is really about giving back,” Cyntoria says.
With the help of friend Jessy Certain and students from the Synergy/Sociology Club at Pasco-Hernando State, Cyntoria is delivering thousands of new and used books to Title 1 schools all over the Tampa Bay area.

The books were donated by students, teachers and employees at the college.
The kids at Schrader Elementary were pumped up by the surprise gift. They each got to take home three books.
“I like scary books,” says Cassandra, who made sure to give Cyntoria a mighty big hug for the amazing gifts.
