PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A member of the Pasco County Fire Rescue team has tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials said this is the first Pasco County government employee to test positive for the virus.

The team member began experiencing symptom consistent with COVID-19 on April 4 while at work, and was sent home.
The employee was working with six other team members on that day, and all six were sent on paid leave in accordance with the Department of Health recommendations.
None of the six employees are showing any symptoms and are all expected to return to work pending negative COVID-19 tests or at the end of the 14-day quarantine.
