PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Pasco County deputies arrested a woman for arson after they say she painted graffiti throughout a house before setting it on fire early Saturday morning.

Deputies say 40-year-old Brandy Currigan was a former resident of the home and was there moving things out when she started the fire. They say she hand painted graffiti on the walls and dumped paint throughout the house.

Then at three separate origin sites, deputies say she set it on fire.

She shared the home with her husband, but deputies say they are in the process of separating. He was not at the home.

When firefighters arrived on scene at the 23500 block of Turtle Lake Ln they reported heavy smoke and fire coming out of the residence. They later rescued eight dogs, unharmed, from the home.

It took half-an-hour to get the fire under control, according to firefighters.

Currigan was arrested on scene and charged with arson. Deputies say she was also in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia.
