HUDSON, Fla. — A death investigation identified the human skeletal remains found near US-19 through dental records, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).

On Thursday, the sheriff's office confirmed through dental records that the human remains found belonged to an adult male that was known to stay in the area and had not been seen since May 2022. Officials stated that the remains did not suggest foul play.

PCSO said the remains were reported in the area of US-19 and New Jersey Avenue in Hudson.

"At this point, we have no additional information in this case," the sheriff's office told ABC Action News. "Likely it will be some time before we have any significant update, as it will take time to identify the remains, determine a cause of death, etc., as they are skeletal remains."
