PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- A construction worker was airlifted to the hospital after a water pipe explosion in Pasco County.
According to the Pasco County Fire Rescue, a construction crew ruptured a high-pressure water line, causing the pipe to explode at an industrial area near Curley Road and Kiefer Road in Wesley Chapel.
The explosion amputated one of the construction workers' arms, firefighters said.
