A charter school in Pasco County is closing its doors and transitioning to eLearning after someone at the school tested positive for coronavirus.
Pinecrest Academy Wesley Chapel is suspending its brick-and-mortar classes following the COVID-19 case, school principal Aimee Mielke told ABC Action News in an email. Students and teachers will now all take part in a "Remote-Live Learning" platform on a temporary basis, the principal told ABC Action News in an email.
The school did not specify when the person tested positive. The school also did not specify if it was a student or a teacher who tested positive.
Mielke told ABC Action News in an email that the entire campus is being deep cleaned.
