WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. -- Pasco County officials are sharing new surveillance images showing two men unloading a trailer full of junk in the middle of a dead-end road.

"It's unbelievable," said Diane Rivers, who is fed up with illegal dumping in her neighborhood. "It’s really pathetic that people have to dump their things instead of taking it to a dump.”

People are sick and tired of trash piling up in public places across the county.

We found the latest eyesore in Wesley Chapel, as captured by hidden surveillance cameras.

The video shows two men dumping a mattress, couches, toys, and dresser drawers filled with clothing. The trailer is marked on the back with "New and Used Furniture," leading investigators to believe they may be connected to a local business.

"What we're hoping is that people in the community know who these people are or recognize the trailer," said Pasco County commissioner Mike Moore.

ABC Action News has learned, Pasco County fielded 748 reports of illegal dumping so far in 2019.

We reported back in June about an even bigger mess left in a parking lot off State Road 56 near I-75.

Investigators hope that more than a dozen hidden cameras placed in known hot spots for illegal dumping will help curb the unsightly crime.

"If we catch you, we’re going to prosecute you and hopefully the next time we see them here they’re going to have orange jumpsuits on cleaning this place up," said Moore.

If you download the MyPasco app for Android or iPhone - there’s a button on the home page where you can report illegal dumping right from your phone. It then goes to Pasco County customer service to decide which department handles it.
