PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 9-year-old child was bitten by a diamondback rattlesnake Wednesday afternoon.
It happened in the 18400 block of of Dajana Ave. in Land O' Lakes.
The child was airlifted to Tampa General to receive anti-venom.
Diamondback rattlesnakes can strike a distance up to 2/3 of their body length, according to the FWC.
