PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 6-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after being hit by a truck while trick-or-treating in a Trinity neighborhood Thursday night.
The Pasco County Fire Rescue responded to a call of a crash involving a child at the intersection of Starkey Boulevard and Town Avenue in Trinity.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 6-year-old boy was walking in a marked crosswalk when a 61-year-old, who was driving a 1999 Ford F150, failed to stop and hit him.
After the accident, the driver stayed to cooperate with investigators.
The 6-year-old suffered serious injuries. He was flown to the hospital and is now recovering at St. Joseph's.
Charges are pending while the investigation continues.
