TAMPA, Fla. -- Christmas is a little more than five months away but a Tampa Bay area boy is hoping to spread some holiday cheer in July.
Eric Piburn was born with a congenital heart defect. His story and personality has won the heart of the local community as hundreds showed up to his birthday party earlier this year.
The 12-year-old is now putting out the call for toys to be donated to kids at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa.
Eric is hosting "Christmas in July" at American Social on South Harbour Island Boulevard in Tampa Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
