TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. — The Tarpon Springs Police Department has canceled a Silver Alert for an 87-year-old man who suffers from dementia after he was found safe near the Sunshine Skyway on Tuesday morning.
Edward J. Fitzsimmons was last seen leaving his home in Tarpon Springs at 11 a.m. Monday.
Fitzsimmons is 5-foot-5, approximately 165 pounds with white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a beige collared striped shirt and gray pants.
Tarpon Springs reported Fitzsimmons found on Tuesday morning after he was found safe in the area of the Sunshine Skyway.
