TAMPA, Fla. — On Wednesday, Strategic Property Partners, LLC will celebrate the opening of Water Street Tampa’s District Cooling plant.
Project leaders say it's an innovative facility that will enhance the neighborhood’s sustainability efforts by reducing the amount of electricity and water used throughout the district.
The new cooling plant will free up rooftops to feature landscaped green roofs and shared amenity spaces.
This is one of the first buildings to open inside the neighborhood, and signifies a major milestone for Water Street Tampa.
The completion of this project is all part of the 56-acre master-planned development that is adding more than 9 million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, entertainment, cultural, retail and educational spaces.
The goal is to connect all these businesses by pedestrian-oriented streets and new public green spaces to the Tampa community.
