TAMPA, Fla. — Two people were found dead inside a car near Bush Gardens. Detectives discovered their bodies Tuesday night around 11 p.m.
Wednesday, detectives were back at the scene to rummage through a neighbor's garbage bin for evidence. They left with several brown bags filled with things they pulled from the garbage.
A house two doors down from that is where detectives say the two were found inside a car that crashed into the front of a home on Tangerine place.
"Things happen, bad things happen, and that was something very bad that happened,” said Ronica Golden, who lives nearby. "A lot of people are sad, a lot of people are confused and everybody is just wanting to know what’s going on and what happened.”
Golden uses Tangerine Place as a cut through to her home a block away and heard the gun shots. She says the woman in the passenger seat has several kids and is well known in the community.
"She was a good hustler, she was all about her kids, she was a great person,” she said. “She grew up around my mom and stuff and my other siblings so for a very long time."
A neighbor also knew something happened after a bullet hole pierced the front area of her home. Thankfully it didn't make it all the way inside.
“My Kids are very scared, I’m very scared”, that neighbor said. She didn’t want to be identified for safety reasons.
"It’s hard to lose somebody like that that who has kids, a mom and sisters and things,” said Golden.
Another neighbor who spoke to ABC Action News said they do not recognize the car.
