TAMPA, Fla. — Tigris is the ninth and newest roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa. It officially opens to guests on Friday.
The ride, named the the world's largest cat species, has some serious bite. It is definitely not for the squeamish.

At 150 feet, the “triple launch” ride is the tallest of its kind in Florida.
Tigris rockets you forward, backwards then forwards again at 62 mph... straight up to 150 feet.
At its highest peak, you do a slow upside-down roll and then rocket straight down again.
The whole ride takes about 45 seconds. But you won’t forget it.
There is a height requirement of 54 inches tall to ride Tigrus.
