BRANDON, Fla. — Three students were hit by a vehicle at their bus stop on Friday morning in Brandon. Officials say the driver of the vehicle was also a student.
The students were hit at the bus stop located at 2501 Bonterra Boulevard in Brandon.
The bus activated its stop lights and signs to stop traffic for the student's safety, but another student driving an SUV failed to stop and hit the three students.
That driver was issued a civil citation for failed to stop for school bus when stop signal displayed.

The driver was not injured and remained on the scene following the crash.
Durant High School student arrested after making false report of gun on campus
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that all three students were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two of the victims were 17 and one was 15.
