Three people were killed in a wrong-way crash Thursday night on I-75 in Hillsborough County.
A 2012 Toyota Corolla was traveling north in the southbound center lane just south of Gibsonton Drive (exit 250).
That car crashed with a 2009 Ford Focus going the correct direction head-on.
Both drivers as well as a passenger in the Ford Focus were transported to a hospital, but all three later died from their injuries.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of I-75 for several hours.
The driver of the Corolla was identified as 21-year-old Justin Lakin. The driver of the Focus was 24-year-old Lashay Waiters and the passenger was 21-year-old Yvette Alexandre.
Officials say alcohol was not a factor and all three were wearing seatbelts.
