TAMPA, Fla. — Trinity is a 3-year-old girl from Tampa who loves bubbles, ice cream, pizza and ruffles on her clothes. Last year, she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at just two-and-a-half.
"What started out as a normal visit to the Pediatrician in early July 2018 quickly became every parent's worst nightmare," her GoFundMe page reads. "Trinity’s current team of doctors is saying that she might always have cancer, which is NOT okay! "
Neuroblastoma is a cancer most commonly found in the adrenal glands. It mostly affects children ages five and under.
Her family has been working tirelessly to get Trinity to a neuroblastoma specialist in Michigan. But, that didn't stop them from taking a day to do something special just for Trinity.
Trinity's mom reached out to a local tattoo parlor, Ink Wolves, with an idea. She wasn't even sure she would get a reply, but she did and got much more that she was expecting.
"To my delight they jumped right into this crazy idea with me! I wanted to let Trinity get some "tattoos" because she loves the ones her daddy has," she wrote on Facebook.
The shop set up for two tattoo artists to come in on their day off for the special session. They even had snacks and Disney music for everyone to jam out to!
"Never in a million years did I ever think I would take my 3 year old toddler to a tattoo shop, and never in a million years did I think that her and I would get our first tattoos together!," her mom wrote on Facebook.
Paisley Sunshine Photography was on hand to capture the special day.
"Little miss Trinity is a ray of sunshine. You would never know if she was having a tough day," photographer Rychelle Foltz said. "She’s always smiling, always positive, always laughing, always loving on somebody, wanting you to sit and play with her. She’s a strong girl who has a zeal for life that you can’t even put into words."
The family spent over four hours at the shop. Trinity left covered in all of her favorite Disney characters.
Trinity's fight isn't over, and you can keep up with her progress at Trinity Tough on Facebook and on the GoFundMe pageset up to help her family.
