TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Theatre is officially "Insta-worthy."
The historic downtown landmark with the vintage Hollywood interior is inviting families and quarantine crews to the coolest new photo studio in the Tampa Bay area.
"We can open our doors to small groups of people, and bring them into this majestic movie palace as a backdrop for family photos," says the theater's always inventive Jill Witecki.
Opened in 1926, Tampa Theatre was forced to get inventive in order to survive the pandemic. It is probably still weeks away from welcoming crowds back to watch movies.
So now Witecki & Co. are thinking outside the popcorn box.
"You Ought to Be in Pictures" packages start at $250.
Christmas cards, senior pictures, even just killer Instagram posts, they will all be enhanced by the theater's atmospheric vibe.
You can also sign up to have the landmark's very talented house photographer Jeff Fay as your own personal paparazzi for 90 minutes.
