TAMPA, Fla. -- Police found the body of a missing 2-year-old in a lake nearby her home.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Lori Thermidor was last seen Friday afternoon in the 19400 block of Redwood Point Drive in Tampa.
Around 8:30 p.m., police said the body of the girl was found in a lake nearby her home.
The child left the home around 3:40 p.m. and possibly walked across the street near a wooded area. Her father realized a few minutes later that his daughter was gone.
He went out to search for her and then called police.
Police were searching the neighborhood with dozens of volunteers and neighbors, along with two bloodhounds and air service.
Divers went into a lake which is near the child's home.
