Tampa police officials said the body found on Saturday in the mangroves was a white female in her early 30s.

While it remains an active investigation, there was nothing to suggest foul play. Preliminary information suggests that the death may be the result of an overdose, officials said.

The body was found near 5123 W Gandy Boulevard around 5:42 p.m. on Saturday.

The exact cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.

This is an ongoing investigation.
