TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Police Department begins a three-month campaign on Tuesday to make three dangerous roads a whole lot safer.

Officers will be patrolling three roads where a large number of crashes occurred resulting in serious injuries or fatalities to pedestrians or bicyclists.

Those roads are:

  • Fowler Avenue; from Florida Avenue to Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
  • Busch Boulevard; from Armenia Avenue to Nebraska Avenue
  • W. Hillsborough Avenue; from Hoover Boulevard to Himes Avenue

Police will focus on drivers who are speeding and pedestrians who are not following traffic laws.
