TAMPA, Fla. — Detectives are trying to determine if two separate shootings Thursday night in the College Hills neighborhood are related.
The first shooting occurred in the 2600 block of E. 29th Avenue.
The second, less than a mile away near the intersection of E. 18th Avenue and N. 27th Street where a car with bullet holes in the back window ended up just off the road.
Officers say paramedics transported the victims in the shootings to area hospitals. One of the victims died.
Investigators are working to determine the identities of the suspects and any motives for the shootings.
